These easy fall treats are so much fun to make with the kids! There was no school for the kiddos today so we took advantage and did some fun stuff. Although the kids could have helped make the rice krispies squares, I did that ahead of time. Then I cut the rice krispies squares into rectangles for the turkeys and then triangles as we did candy corn ones too(these were perfect for the real young kids). So much fun and not a lot of materials needed!
Ingredients For Rice Krispies Squares:
- 1/4 Cup Margarine
- 40 Large Marshmallows
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 6 Cups Rice Krispies
Directions:
- In large saucepan melt margarine and marshmallows until smooth
- Remove from heat, add vanilla and rice krispies
- Let cool
Ingredients For Turkey:
- Candy Corn
- Chocolate Icing
- Orange Icing(optional for beak, can use candy corn)
- Brown M&Ms
- Pretzel Sticks
Directions For Turkey:
- Cover rice krispies square in chocolate icing
- Use three candy corn as feathers at the top
- Use two brown m&ms for the eyes
- Use either orange icing or candy corn to make the beak
- Take Two pretzel sticks and break into six pieces for the feet
Ingredients For Candy Corn:
- Orange Icing
- White Icing
- Orange M&Ms
Directions:
- Cover the bottom 1/3 with orange icing
- Cover the orange icing with orange m&ms
- Cover the tip of the triangle with white icing
