Double Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookies

If your love is chocolate, you will devour these cookies! They are soft and chewy, and oh so full of chocolate! My husband claims these are the best cookies ever, and even better if you have a glass of milk with them. The recipe says to add 1 cup of nuts if desired, personally I prefer them without but up to you.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (can use semi sweet but I prefer milk chocolate)

Directions:

  • Mix butter/margarine, sugars, vanilla, and eggs
  • add remaining ingredients, do chocolate chips last(I always say do them last, simply because sometime if you mix the batter with the chocolate chips too long, the beaters will chop up the chocolate chips)
  • drop onto cookie sheet(s) and cook at 350 degrees for 8-10 min or until cookie is set (hard around the outside and softer in the middle)
  • cool slightly before removing
