Gluten Free Cinnamon Bun Pull Aparts

For all the gluten free people that love cinnamon buns….this recipe is fantastic!!  Quite simple to make too. Dough was easy to work with and thia recipe could also be used for cinnamon rolls.

Ingredients for Dough:

  • 3 cups gluten free flour
  • 1 tbsp quick rise yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 lg eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla exact

Directions:

  • Mix yeast and 1 cup of flour in large bowl
  • In sauce pan combine milk, sugar and margarine until melted
  • Mix into flour and yeast
  • Stir in eggs one at a time (if finding it hard to mix in you can use an electric mixer)
  • Mix in remaining flour to make a soft sticky dough
  • Knead for 1 min. (Use some more flour to keep from sticking)
  • Put into greased bowl
  • Ler rise, covered for 1 hr or until double the size
  • Knead using more flour if needed
  • Cut dough into small pieces

Next:

  • In small bowl combine: 1 1/2 cup white sugar, 2 tbsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp salt
  • In another small bowl melt 6 tbsp margarine or butter
  • Take each piece of dough and put it in the melted maragine/butter
  • Roll in sugar mixture
  • Put into greased dish (round cake pan or a bread pan)
  • Keep going until all pieces are done
  • Let rise for 20min.
  • Cook for 25min or until golden brown
  • Take out of pan and let cool slightly while you make the icing

Icing:

  • 1 1/2 cups icinh sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Mix together to a smooth thin icing (use more milk or icing sugar if needed)
