Candy Bar Brownies

Who doesn’t love a good brownie?! I came across this recipe years ago and knew as soon as I had seen it that they would be perfectly delicious! Like all kids, mine love to help bake, you can imagine all the more fun when there candy to add to the top. You can make the top however you like. Pink icing, marshmellows, sprinkles, popcorn…anything goes and nothing is good too!

Now originally, the recipe called for a can of store bought icing, but I prefer my butter cream icing, so I usually put that on. Unless I am in a hurry. The store icing taste good too, just not as good:)

Buttercream Icing:

  • 4 cups of icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cream or milk (water will work too)
  • add 3 tbsp. cocoa if desired, or food coloring, depending how you want the topping

Mix all together until smooth and creamy. Spread over cooled brownies.

Add the toppings of your choice, if any.
