Gluten Free Bread (breadmachine)

For being a gluten free recipe, this bread is so simple to make.  I won’t take credit for it, as it was my Dad who came up with it.  After many attempts and changes he has made a bread that is amazing! Both my Niece and Daughter are gluten free, and going from my Dad’s bread he makes to store bought gluten free bread is a hard chore to undertake.  So he set out to make a good gluten free bread and this is what he came up with. I made myself this morning and EVERYONE in my house approves!

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 1/2 cup gluten free flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar or less
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 -3/4 tsp yeast

Directions:

  • put the wet ingredients in first (milk, eggs, oil)
  • add flour (covering the liquid)
  • add sugar and salt
  • make a “well” in the center and put yeast in (this is so that the yeast and liquid don’t touch)
  • put in your bread machine, on white bread setting

A Couple Notes:

  • in my experience, Robin Hood Flour doesn’t work as well as some others (ex. Our Compliments, Presidents Choice)
  • making a “well” for the yeast is not necessary if you are making it right away just if you are delaying it
